Colin Gray will be directing the production which we intend to perform on the 10th and 11th October in Much Marcle during the ‘Big Apple’ Festival and on the 16th, 17th and 18th October at the Powell Theatre. We hope to cast the production and hold a first read through on Friday 18th July and then rehearsals will begin in earnest in the first week of September. Obviously, those wishing to be in the production will need to be available during the rehearsal and production period.
The Real Inspector Hound is a short, one-act play and one of Tom Stoppard's early works. The plot follows two theatre critics named Moon and Birdboot who are watching a ludicrous set-up of a country house murder mystery, in the style of a "whodunit". By chance, they become involved in the action causing a series of events that parallel the play they are watching. The cast requires 5 male actors, 3 female actors and one male body who lies on stage throughout (auditions may not be necessary for this role!).
If you would like to be in the production but are unable to come to the auditions please contact either Hayley on 07976 235546 or Colin on 01432 278233 to register your interest. We also need people to help out with all the backstage elements of the production and marketing support etc so do please come along to the auditions or call Hayley if you would like to get involved.
We really hope to see you there!
